2008 National Conference of Volunteering and Service

Attention Businesses With A Passion for Social Change!

This June 1-3, the nation’s largest gathering of a new generation of social change makers and civic leaders will convene in Atlanta at the National Conference of Volunteering and Service. It is not too late for Georgia businesses to register and tap into the power and passion of business-led social change.

The National Conference on Volunteering and Service features more than 175 workshops on effective volunteer programs and will include interactive Business Tracks with some of the country's most influential Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) thought-leaders, including:

• Laysha Ward of Target Corporation
• Evan Hochberg of Deloitte Services
• Anne Bronson of Accenture
• Ann Cramer of IBM
• A CEO Roundtable featuring some of Atlanta's most progressive leaders in CSR, including D. Scott Davis, Chairman and CEO of UPS

The business track will open with a roundtable discussion, "Corporate Social Responsibility Now", a dialog between corporate leaders. It will be focusing on business priorities in the current economic climate and how to continue achieving the right balance between delivering social impact as a corporate citizen and positive bottom line results.

During the business sessions, attendees can learn about innovative platforms in skills-based volunteering and employee engagement strategies - all in the city where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. inspired the nation to civic engagement!

The cost to register for the three-day conference is only $400 for business members of the Points of Light & Hands On Network members and $500 for non-members.
